How You Can Help

A program like Zafia’s Family House has the potential to bring comfort and alleviate stress for hundreds of families each year. For all of them, it’s a Godsend at a difficult time. But the practical reality is that it comes at a cost. Even with stringent stewardship and reduced accommodation rates, the annual operational budget is in excess of $50,000 with 95 % towards hotel accommodations. As an all-volunteer organization, Zafia’s Family House is committed to ensuring that nearly 100% of contributions go directly to housing solutions for families in need

We invite the community to join Zafia’s family and these other local entities in keeping the program sustainable and helping it grow and keep pace with needs:

  • Fairfield Hotel & Suites
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Sutter Health
  • Lyon Realtors
  • City of Roseville Employees REACH Campaign
  • Intel Corporation
  • Walmart
  • Safeway Foundation
  • Railey’s
  • Anonymous Donors

Your support can take many forms, all of which are needed and appreciated. Thanks to Zafia’s Family House nonprofit status, most of these are also tax-deductible, subject to advice from your tax professional:

  • Cash donations
  • Employer matching gifts
  • Gift cards for local dining, gas or essentials
  • Corporate grants
  • Volunteer service at events
  • In-kind products or services

“Having lost their home in the Paradise fires and place of business, this expectant family of twins was temporarily relocated to Chico CA. The twins were born premature and transferred to our local hospital. Zafia’s Family House has provided housing for this family during this difficult time.”
